Lucario and Riolu: Mother and son

"So why does it bother you that I go down there? I don't get into any trouble and I'm always careful."

"What kind of change?"

"The kind of change that comes when two saplings grow together, twisting around each other until they become a single thing. Inseparable. Stronger than any single tree."

"What do you mean? That doesn't sound like a bad thing."

My first commission! Funny story, this one--I made a little illustration for a fanfiction writer called DeskRage some time ago. It is OLD and not one of my better pieces, but a few weeks ago she contacted me kind of out of the blue and commissioned me to illustrate something from the first chapter of her biggest story, Threads of the Soul , which basically details the backstory of Sir Aaron's Lucario from the 8th Pokemon movie. The story's been dead for a long while, so she apparently wanted something cool to kick the fact she's going to get back and finish it. She hasn't posted the new chapter yet, but said I can put this image up a few days early. :3

In any case, this was fun, because I really love Pokémon, and Lucario is one of my favorites.
